We would like to announce that DECA project has recruited a new skillful Mentor, experienced to monitor the developed path to success for DECA athletes and to facilitate the transition for new ones.

After making an internal evaluation, in order to secure the success and sustainability of DECA project’s outputs, one of the main conclusions was the need of an external figure, a professional with educational and mentoring skills, able to give coherence and acting as nexus between all the involved actors.

After new athlete entering the project, having university student profile, it's an urgent need to engage a Mentor, to strengthen the developed path to success for the remaining athletes and to facilitate the transition for the new athlete, from his previous environment to the dual career frame.

Finally, the inclusion of this Mentor is not new in the E+ Program, so it should be considered as an unexpected result with added value, to achieve the proposed aims and objectives for the DECA Project.

For the remaining duration of the project until 31 December 2018, the local management of the DECA project will be assisted by this Mentor, who will support specific tasks.

The Mentor has assumed the task of Local Management (LM) and is installed by DECA Project Partner “Eisbären Bremerhaven e. V.” in Bremerhaven, Germany.

He supports the local management in all tasks in contact with the parents, managers and coaches of the home teams and the management as well as the new requirements arising from the supervision at the university study of the new participant in the DECA project.
